Home / child safety

Little learners deserve thoughtful care.

Online learning should feel safe, welcoming and supported. These are the expectations for participating families and programme delivery.

Local playgroups in development

Proposed groups involve 10–12 children with their parents or designated caregivers. Adults remain responsible for their children throughout; there is no drop-off childcare. Before a group opens, organiser review, venue and activity checks, accessibility, first-aid and emergency arrangements, reporting routes, costs and any insurance must be confirmed. Interest alone does not approve an organiser or establish an operating group.

A grown-up stays present

A parent or trusted caregiver should remain present throughout online learning and supervise all offline activities, materials and movement. Online learning is not a childcare or supervision service.

Private learning spaces

Meeting links should be shared only with participating families. Use a child’s first name or agreed display name, avoid showing identifying documents, and keep personal information out of view.

Images and recordings

Do not photograph, record or share other children or families. Any MMi recording or publication of a child’s image requires a separate, specific guardian permission process.

Respectful participation

Use kind language and appropriate clothing and backgrounds. Concerns about behaviour, access or inappropriate content should be reported to [email protected].

Raise a concern
